A White T-Shirt is a Wardrobe must have, especially during the warmer months of Spring and Summer. Not only is it one of the most versatile pieces to own, it is comfortable and easy to care for.
However, when you pick "Essential pieces" there are some facts to consider.
1.) Firstly, what is the material made out of? Your White Tee should be soft, comfortable and definitely keep you cool. I always check to see if it is made of cotton, and the higher the percentage the better. Be sure to avoid nylon or rayon.
2.) Stitch work. Lets dig deeper, and check the seam work. Why? Believe it or not, clothes that are stitched well not only last longer but look better on. Check to see if there are loose threads, or if it is crafted poorly. If so, pass, and spend a bit more on something that will last.
3.) The Fit. If you are investing in only one White T-Shirt, it is better that it is not too tight. A loose fit will give you more options on styling it up or down. Keep it comfortable.
4.) Splurge a bit. Either treasure hunt for a deal, or splurge on a good brand Trust me, it will be worth it. Essential pieces are meant to be worn often, and higher quality will not only last longer, but it will also upgrade all your coordinating pieces.
