Fall Daily Essential: Scarf Obsession!

A scarf is the focal point of your entire outfit, and it defines the mood of your Fall style. What is your scarf saying about you?
One of the most popular mistakes people make, is buying a scarf without considering how you will wear it.  A scarf is just as much functional as fashionable, and therefore, careful calculations are necessary.
Will your Fall coat match? Is it warm enough? It is versatile in function? Does the color compliment your face?
Many times people just pick a scarf they like without even trying it on, but this is not to your benefit at all. You may adore emerald green, but the question is, does it compliment you? Check it against your skin tone, hair or eye color, and see if it suits you.

These are my 5 Favorite types of scarves!

                                      ARTSY PATTERNS

A scarf is a brilliant way to add character to a rather orthodox outfit. Use it to add a pop of color, texture, or a bit of character.  Make a statement, and never be forgotten.

                                         BLANKET SCARF

A blanket scarf is "cozy" at its max. It is a relaxed casual that looks chic without trying.
It is sure to keep you warm on the coldest days, and best of all, you can cuddle up with it all day.

                                        CASHMERE LOVE

The look of a cashmere scarf is always luxurious and decadent. It is as soft as can be, and it frames your face with such warmth and softness. The perfect scarf for those days you just want to relax and unwind.

                                       LONG KNIT SCARF

Those long wrap around knit scarves are a fun way to add texture to your fall look. The different lengths around the length add interest to the eye, and creates a casual fun look.

                                             FUR SCARF

A fur scarf, is a glamorous way to add spice to your style. It is soft to the touch and beautiful to see. Just having it near your neck,  it is sure to light up your face and keep you warm.

Clémence Poésy: How to be Beautifully French

Clémence Poésy is a French actress and fashion model. She is most well  known for her roles in Harry PotterChloë in In Bruges, 127 Hours, and as Eva Copeau on GossipGirl. Her chic style represents everything you should adore from Parisian Style.

                                     NATURAL LOOK

"Natural" is the essence of "French Girl Style". The hair and make-up are never trying too hard. Most girls wear very little concealer or foundation, making for a very natural face that beams with freshness. Their lips usually nude, or with a light lip balm, and a bit of mascara.

                                              FEMININITY

Lace details, ruffles, bows, silk chiffon blouses,  are all popular among French Girls. Femininity is celebrated and hard edged power looks, are not as common.
Despite being the Fashion capitol of the World, "trends" do not effect these girls as you would see in America. Most girls have a strong sense of personal style, and stick firm to what they like and dislike.

                                       ACCESSORIES

When in France, you will also notice the attention to details. Almost every woman carries their style with some sort of accessory. Whether it be a hat, scarf, brooch, hair accessory, or jewelry, final touches are always cutomized.

                                               ELEGANT

French Girl Style is classy and elegant. Beauty shines without showing too much skin, or being overly vulgar.

                                             FLAT SHOES

With the need to walk almost everywhere, rarely will you see a girls in a three inch heel, unless of course it is fashion week.
Repetto, is a popular brand among women for ballet flats in Paris.

                                       RELAXED CASUAL

Perhaps, the greatest reason I have such a deep love for French Style, is their amazing ability to look so stylish while remaining so comfortable. Nothing seems overly done, or unnatural. The clothes are part of the person, and enhance the beauty rather that detract.
It is a style, that has greatly inspired me, and changed the way I feel about beauty in General.

Little Miss Champs-Élysées

Little Miss Champs-Élysées

Luvuary Day 6

Little Miss Champs Elysees is a a look I created for the "Uniquely You" Campaign for Modcloth (www.modcloth.com). She is a sophisticated fashion student who spends her days walking along champs Elysees in all her designer couture. She has a soft spot for vintage hats, dainty gloves, and a fresh eye for style.

I was also recently asked by a Modcloth Stylist to check out their fashion  line, and lets  just say I'm a bit in love. :)
Ladies if you have a date this V-Day it will be worth your time to check out their oh-so sweet and sexy special occasion dresses! I have collected my favorites below.
