Fashion Challenge Day 12: OOTD "My Heart is French"

Day 12 is still finding myself missing France. For me, French style, is artistic, feminine, elegant, and natural. I can remember walking down whimsical little streets in Paris, and stumbling across the most wonderful boutiques filled with the most beautiful accessories. The women in France, are stylish in their ability to add their own accessories and thus making a look their own. Whether it be a belt, a hat, a hair accessory, style seems to always celebrate their own beauty.

The hair band/hat that I am wearing is from France, and it is adorned with ostrich and peacock feathers. The belt was found in Belgium at Zara. The dress is Tadashi and boots by Valentino.

Fashion Challenge Day 5: OOTD "Rainy Sunday"

Happy Sunday! Today's OOTD is my ultra relaxed style. The color palette is grey and black, but I used various textures of grey to spice up a rather simple look. The blouse is vintage, and sparkles a crystal like grey. The sweater is cashmere, and off sets the sparkle nicely. The scarf is an infinity style, with reversible black and silver stars. The boots are a mixture of canvas grey and leather.

The entire outfit was inspired by the weather today.  It has been raining softly all day, creating a rather mysterious kind of atmosphere. The clouds are a heavy grey and there was a thick layer of mist, much depicted in the poem's of Edgar Allan Poe.
There is something great about these types of rainy days. I enjoyed a nice walk through the park and took time to hear the birds, the trees, and my thoughts.
I hope all of you had a relaxing Sunday!

Fashion Challenge Day 4: OOTD "Classic Glamour"

My Saturday OOTD, is a a dark navy, knit dress. It is an incredibly comfortable dress, but it does hug every curve on the body, making it necessary to eat a light dinner. This look is perfect for an evening out that may require a bit of glamour, but still remain semi casual. I styled it with a brown leather belt, matching it with an antique necklace I found in Europe many years back. I decided to add a bit of softness by letting my hair down in soft curls.

Fashion Challenge Day 2: OOTD "Going to an Art Exhibition"

Fashion Challenge Day 2 is an artsy look based on pushing my creative limits. Today, I was loving this electric blue transparent top by Gianfranco Ferre. The top creates amazing lines against the skin, and I matched it with a light cropped sweater to add some interesting textures. The sweater on top, is actually worn back words, with the brand label removed. It gives a very nice ballerina effect, and becomes a sexy  low back. This is a technique I have used for years, and it doubles your wardrobe immediately. Don't hesitate to take your clothes and flip it around, pull it inside out, or wear it upside down. You maybe surprised how amazing it may look.

Fashion Challenge Day 1: My "Press Event" OOTD

Today's outfit is completely styled around the most amazing leather jacket by Rebecca Minkoff. It was a gift to me for the Holidays and it is embellished with a million pearls. If you have read my, "2015 Resolutions", it is one of my goals for this year to add a bit more edge into my style, and wearing a black, motorcycle jacket is very outside the box for me.
The entire look is a bit, Marie Antoinette, a pinch Chanel, and a dash of My Fair Lady. It is uniquely my own style, and photo ready for today's press event! (Fashion Tip 101: When in doubt always take a picture of your outfit before a press event. Sometimes unsuspecting fabrics become transparent with powerful camera flash.)

I hope you join me on this challenge and hashtag your looks with #2015fashionchallenge !
Don't forget to push yourself to try new things!
